The house we bought is in great shape. No need to paint, rip up carpet, or anything like that right away. We do have a list of items that we would eventually like to do. These will be done gradually, since now we are also working on building up the savings again.

- House Numbers
- Wire House with Cat-6 data wires
- Pathway from front porch to driveway
- Power wash & stain back deck, re-do steps
- Build a garage
- Finish downstairs bathroom
Self-Sufficiency List
- Plot out and build raised bed gardens (no actual gardening this year because of my Project Grow plot)
- Set up rain barrel system
- Learn to bake bread
- Start composting, successfully this time around
- Set up line-drying system outside
- Start canning more on my own (at least jams and tomatoes)
I’m sure these lists will get revised, crossed off, and added to as the days go on. I’m just glad we don’t need to tackle deciding on paint colors before we even move in
